PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
As a medical student living away from home in a hostel, I often skip meals or eat unhealthy food due to my busy schedule. Balancing classes, assignments, and study sessions leaves me with little time to focus on preparing nutritious meals, leading to a reliance on quick and often unhealthy options. During my semester holidays, when I visit home, I continue eating unhealthy food because of my cravings developed while staying in the hostel. These cravings usually lead to stomach aches and improper digestion, which also affects my sleep.
The irregular eating habits and poor diet started taking a toll on my overall well-being. Out of guilt and understanding the importance of my health, I decided to make a change. I tried practicing this kriya, a form of yoga that focuses on breath control and meditation. After regular practice, I felt better, my digestive tract improved, and I also noticed an improvement in my sleep. With consistent practice, I began to feel more balanced and in control of my cravings.
