PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
There was a time when I felt like I was drowning in a sea of expectations, each wave of stress crashing over me more ferociously than the last. Nights were the hardest; I would lie awake, my mind racing with relentless thoughts of inadequacy—my scores, my clinical skills, the immense weight of my future as a physician. It felt like I was trapped in an unending cycle of self-criticism, convinced that I would never measure up to the ideal version of myself. Each stumble—whether it was a disappointing exam score or the frustration of grappling with a complex patient case—was met with harsh judgement. That inner voice, my own harshest critic, grew louder and more relentless, drowning out any sense of self-worth.
After an especially gruelling week filled with overwhelming challenges, I found myself at a crossroads. It was during this turbulent time that I stumbled upon a Kriya focused on living from the heart, offered through the Kundalini Yoga Club’s online platform. At first, I was sceptical. Could a series of movements and mantras truly help someone as entrenched in self-doubt as I was? But something deep within me—a desperate yearning for change—compelled me to give it a chance.
