A Life Led From within - Guru Rattana’s Gentle Path
A personal reflection on Guru Rattana’s path, presence and the Gift of Womanhood
By Sandesh, Kundalini Yoga Club

🌸 Who is Guru Rattana?

Some people are guided by the world around them. Guru Rattana is guided by something quieter—from within.

She began her daily Kundalini Yoga practice in 1977, and she’s kept that promise to herself ever since. But her influence goes beyond consistency. She was among the first Western students of Yogi Bhajan, one of the earliest teacher trainers, and the author of the original teacher training manuals.

Now in her 80s, she continues to teach, write, and share her presence with quiet strength.

“If I keep showing up, things will be okay.”

She did show up. And she kept showing up—for nearly five decades.

But there’s more to her story than a daily Sadhana. Guru Rattana was one of the first Western students of Yogi Bhajan, one of the very first teacher trainers, and the author of the original Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training manuals.
She has taught thousands of students, trained over a thousand teachers, and written twelve thoughtful books on the yogic and feminine path.

And I feel truly blessed that I have the chance to sit with her, learn from her, and help share her message with others—while she is still here to share it.

🌿 Why her story matters—especially now?

In a world that often feels rushed and demanding—especially for women—Guru Rattana offers something different:
 Presence.
 Simplicity.
 Permission to be.

Her words aren’t loud, but they stay with you. Once, she said:

"This is your only chance to be you in this lifetime."
She said it gently. And that made it feel true.

📚 Her books, her rhythm, her depth:-

Her Twelve books weren't written out of urgency, but from deep experience . A few that continue to resonate.
Transition  To A Heart - Centered World - gentle support for opening the heart

Relax And Renew - show practices to recenter

The Power Of Neutral - guidance for a steady mind

Your Life Is In Your Chakras- a down to earth look at how energy shapes our lives

The Destiny of Women Is The Destiny Of The World - a quiet call for women to remember their role in shaping a more peaceful world.

These aren’t books to rush through. They’re the kind you sit with—pages open, breath steady—letting the words land where they’re most needed.

🌿 The Gift of Womanhood:-

Lately, Guru Rattana has been preparing something new. A space, a journey, a gathering of women who want to reconnect with their own feminine power—not by striving, but by softening into it.
It’s called The Gift of Womanhood.

It’s not a traditional “training.”
There’s no pressure to be ready, no need to present anything. Just a willingness to show up—to listen, to rest, to rediscover.

“It’s not just a training. It’s a movement. A global mission for women to return to themselves—and share that with others. Not to perform, but to be.”

🎧 If you’d like to hear her speak about it, this short clip says everything:
(Insert podcast audio snippet from approx. 68:28–70:53)

This offering feels personal to me. Not just because I see its value as a teacher—but because I’ve seen how much it’s needed in the world right now.

I often think:
I wish my mother had had access to something like this.
A path that helped her stay stable in her feminine energy.
A space that honoured her rhythms, her softness, her power.

And now, being part of the Kundalini Yoga Club, I’m deeply moved to support Guru Rattana as we build this offering into something that can truly serve women around the world.

✨One moment I’ll never forget:-

Guru Rattana once said:

“I do only what only I can do. And this is what I can do. And this is what I’m being told to do. The destiny of women is the destiny of the world. And to get there, women need to wake up to who they are.”

When she said it, something clicked in me.

There’s nothing to chase. Nothing to prove.
We each have a role to play—and when we honour that, we align with something much deeper than success.

It reminded me: I don’t have to do everything.
 Just what
only I can do. That’s enough.

✨From me to you:-

If you’ve read this far, maybe something inside you is already stirring.
Maybe this message touches something unspoken.
Maybe now is a good time to pause—and listen.

Start wherever you feel drawn:

🍃 Read a few pages of her books
🍃  Sit with one of her quotes
🍃 Or if you feel the pull, step into
The Gift of Womanhood

There’s room for you here.
