Reflections from the White Light Peace Prayer Day
On December 21, across time zones and continents, something quite extraordinary unfolded.
For 24 uninterrupted hours, voices rose in mantra, prayer, breath, and movement, not from a single stage or location, but from homes, yoga studios, sacred spaces, and quiet rooms around the world.
This was the White Light Peace Prayer Day, a global Kundalini Yoga online gathering created to hold peace not as an idea, but as a shared, embodied practice.
A Global Circle, Held in Sound
More than 20 Kundalini Yoga teachers, mantra singers, and facilitators came together to carry the day.
Among them were Guru Rattana, Guru Singh, Guru Ganesha Singh, Siri Sadhana Kaur, Parminder Kaur, Natasa Siri Amrit, Harimandir (Lieselot) Kaur Khalsa, Lakshmi Tera, Bart de Louwe, Jagat Simran, Aleksei Efanov, and many others, each offering their presence in service of one shared field.
Together, they held a continuous flow of:
- mantra and kirtan
- Kundalini yoga meditation and kriya
- Shakti Dance and breathwork
Participants joined freely, for minutes or for hours, from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and beyond.
There was no requirement to stay.
No pressure to perform.
Only an invitation to be fully present.
Why This Day Was Created
The White Light Peace Prayer Day arose from a simple and urgent question:
How do we practice peace together when the world feels increasingly divided?
In a time marked by war, displacement, and collective fatigue, this gathering was created as an act of shared remembrance:that peace is not only something we wish for, but rather something we practice together, through sound, breath, and presence.
The intention was to generate a coherent field of vibration that could support healing, inwardly and outwardly, and to hold compassion for communities living in the reality of conflict.
A Living Field, Not a Performance
Although the day followed a schedule, many participants described the experience not as “attending sessions,” but as entering a field.
People joined with loved ones, their yoga groups or practiced alone.
Some sang aloud.
Some listened silently.
Some moved.
Some simply breathed.
One participant shared:
“I decided to spend my Winter Solstice expanding my conscious realm of acceptance by participating in the Kundalini Yoga Club, White Light Peace Prayer Day. I have been surrounded by beautiful beings from around the world, chanting, meditating, listening and absorbing diverse realms of consciousness. Although I was unable to translate all the songs and mantras, I allowed myself to be totally present and still. into deep breathing, all of a sudden, my body responded to all the rhythms and frequencies from a space of knowingness. The universal language called the breath became my translator and started speaking to my heart, for real! I am so full and thankful to feel what I am feeling right now.” according_to_ahuvyah
Another reflected:
“Soooo beautiful to join online with all people around the globe for chanting dancing meditating! This morning with Lieselot Kaur Khalsa and Dirk Broenink Siri Sadhana Kaur.So heartfelt to join”. Jolène van der Steen
Across social media, participants shared candle-lit spaces, home altars, and reflections from the heart, forming a living archive of the day through #WhiteLightPeacePrayerDay.
Voices from the Teachers
Teachers and musicians also shared their reflections after offering their sessions.
Natasa Siri Amrit wrote:
“Wahe Guru. It was so beautiful to flow in Shakti, gently dance, and feel the energy of celebration.
The whole space is so full of light. Thank you all for bringing the light.”
Harimandir (Lieselot) Kaur Khalsa shared:
“I am on an interesting cloud of good and warm energy that was so present.
Happy to serve. Wahe Guru.”
Across these messages, a shared gratitude emerged for the sincerity of the global sangat, and for the feeling of being held together beyond distance.
Peace in Action: Giving Back
As part of the White Light Peace Prayer Day, participants were invited to support humanitarian relief.
Through donations and replay purchases, the community helped support humanitarian initiatives for Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel, offering tangible care alongside prayer.
This gesture reflected one of the core intentions of the day: that inner work and outer responsibility belong together.
Honoring Guru Rattana & Her Legacy
A central moment of the White Light Peace Prayer Day was the offering of a Peace Prayer session by Guru Rattana.
Her presence, teachings, and transmission have shaped generations of Kundalini Yoga practitioners worldwide.
As part of this gathering, one participant received Guru Rattana’s Legacy Collection, a comprehensive body of teachings, recordings, and written wisdom she compiled during her lifetime.
