ADVANTAGES OF PRACTISING THE KRIYA FOR FLOW SERIES :-

Strengthened Core: Leg lifts and shoulder stands engage the core muscles, building strength and stability essential for Kundalini Yoga.

Improved Circulation: The dynamic movements stimulate blood flow, energizing the body and promoting overall health.

Emotional Release: The practice of kundalini yoga  help to release pent-up emotions and stress, leading to a sense of emotional balance and clarity.

Mindfulness and Meditation: Ending with meditation cultivates a deeper connection to the self, promoting mental peace and reflection. This part of the practice challenges you to quiet the mind and embrace stillness, allowing for the integration of insights gained during the kriya.

Energy Alignment: The kriya series balances energy between the physical and spiritual realms, creating a harmonious state of being through grounding techniques

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:

As a fourth-year medical student, my life  is  relentless and often feels like a chaotic blend of lectures, clinical rotations, and a never-ending stream of assignments. Each day blurs into the next, leaving little room for self-care or downtime. The pressure of my busy schedule left me feeling drained and spiritually low. I often found myself struggling to find time for workouts or even a moment to breathe. There were days when I felt completely devoid of energy, as if my body was a mere shell, carrying the weight of stress and fatigue.

When I first heard about the Flow Series Revolution Kriya, I felt a mix of intrigue and skepticism. The promise of increased energy and flexibility caught my attention, but as a fourth-year medical student, I was accustomed to long hours of studying and a packed schedule that left little room for anything else.

I discovered this kriya through the online yoga community, which has been a source of support and inspiration. The Kundalini Yoga club has always emphasized the importance of balancing our rigorous academic lives with spiritual practices.  I was intrigued but skeptical. Could a mere 20-minute practice really make a difference? Despite my doubts, I decided to give the 20-minute kriya a try, hoping it could bring some relief to my tired body and mind.

As I unrolled my mat and began the kriya, I felt a wave of uncertainty wash over me. The first few movements—the Sufi Grind and Spinal Flex—felt awkward at first, but as I focused on my breath and let the rhythm guide me, something shifted. With each spinal twist, I could feel tension melting away. It was as if I was releasing not only physical stiffness but also the mental clutter that had accumulated over weeks of relentless studying.

By the time I reached the Shoulder Stand and Plough Pose, I was amazed at how much more flexible I felt. My body, which had been so stiff and achy from hours of sitting in lectures, responded positively to the gentle stretches and movements.

For the first time in a long while, I felt my energy returning. It was a profound realization: this 20-minute kriya had awakened something within me that I thought was lost.

The Fish Pose and Relax Lying Butterfly Pose brought a sense of peace that I hadn’t felt in ages. I realized how much I had been neglecting my spiritual and mental well-being in the hustle of my academic life. The Ego Eradicator helped me release negative thoughts, grounding me and creating a connection to something greater than myself.

After the kriya, I felt invigorated, not just physically but spiritually. The fatigue that usually lingered after a long day had been replaced with a refreshing energy. I could finally breathe deeply and think clearly, ready to tackle my studies with renewed vigor.

Incorporating this kriya into my routine has become a cherished ritual. It fits seamlessly into my busy schedule, allowing me to take just 20 minutes to recharge. I’ve noticed that my flexibility has improved, not just in my body but also in my mindset. This experience has reminded me that self-care is essential, even amidst the chaos of university.

Now, as I continue my journey through this demanding program, I carry with me the lessons learned from the Flow Series Revolution Kriya. It has transformed not only my physical state but also my spiritual and mental well-being, reminding me that sometimes, just a small commitment can lead to significant changes. I’m grateful to the Kundalini Yoga club for introducing me to this powerful practice through online yoga, and I encourage anyone feeling overwhelmed to give it a try. You might just discover a new source of energy within you, too.
