The Kundalini Yoga Club offers challenges, (online) trainings, retreats, courses and physical products. To complete registrations we process privacy-sensitive information, also called personal data. In some cases we work together with other organizations or companies.


We find it very important that personal data is handled with care. Personal data are therefore carefully processed and secured by us. In doing so, we comply with the requirements of the privacy legislation. This means, for example, that we:

  • clearly state the purposes for which we process personal data. We do that through this privacy statement;
    • limit the collection of personal data to only those that are necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
    • ask you for your explicit permission to process your personal data in cases where your permission is required;
    • not pass on your data to third parties, unless this is necessary to provide the requested service or when we are legally obliged to do so;
    • When we share your data, make agreements with third parties to ensure that they are not used for other purposes, among other things;
    • take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require this of parties who process personal data on our behalf;

Use of personal data

When using our memberships, services and websites, you leave certain information with us. This could be personal data. We process the following data:


Personal data

We may process the following personal data from you, depending on the service chosen:

  • name
  • company details
  • e-mail address
  • date of birth
  • information that you enter yourself in an open field, such as comments on dietary requirements or the field in the contact form
  • name and address details
  • technical measurement data of the equipment such as IP address, MAC address, identifiers in cookies and your surfing behavior on our websites
  • phone number


Objectives 

We process the above data for one or more of the following purposes (partly depending on which services or functionalities you use):

  • To allow you to register for events and services through our website;
  • To process your order and inform you about its progress;
  • To process your registration for our membership, our community or other services such as training, retreats and workshops;
  • To contact you about any questions you may have;
  • To communicate with you by sending electronic newsletters and/or post;
  • To process your data for possible participation in contests and other promotions, so we can reach you when you have won something and improve our services;
  • To answer your questions or process your complaints via social media, email, post or telephone;
  • To improve our websites.

Communication to third parties

We pass on the information you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the delivery of the products or services you have ordered. For example, we use a third party to handle iDeal or credit card payments. The data is also viewed by our accountant.


When we provide your information to a third party, we ensure among other things (with an agreement) that your data will not be used for other purposes. We also agree that your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.


Furthermore, we will not provide the data you provided to other parties, unless this is legally required or permitted. For example, it is possible that the police request information from us in the context of a fraud investigation. In that case we are legally obliged to hand over these data.


Security and storage

We take appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. For example, we ensure that only the necessary people have access to the data, that access to the data is protected and that our security measures are checked regularly.


We do not keep data longer than necessary. That is, we keep the data as long as necessary to provide the service you have requested. Exceptions to this are the data that we must keep for longer because the law requires us to do so (for example, the tax retention obligation).

This statement does not apply to third party websites that are linked to our website. We cannot guarantee that these websites will handle your personal data in a reliable or safe manner. If you are 16 years old or younger, you may use our website only under the supervision of your parents or legal representatives.

To prevent misuse, we ask you to identify yourself adequately when you make a written request for access by sending a copy of a valid identification document. Do not forget to protect your BSN and passport photo on the copy. You can, for example, use the 'CopyID' app for this.


Personal Data Authority

Of course we are happy to help you if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. If, despite this, you still cannot find a solution with us, you also have the right, under the privacy legislation, to submit a complaint to the privacy supervisor, the Personal Data Authority.
