What is this retreat about?

This is a retreat of 7 days were we go Really Deep.

5 days we will be in Noble Silence.

That means No Talking. Also not Body Language.

All communication goes via the Teacher and assistants.

The Silence will be deepened through Kundalini Practices.

Kundalini Yoga Sadhana, Mantra Chanting, Kundalini Dance Movements, Silent Kundalini Transmissions.

And off course Silent Meditation.

Deepened and Guided by Reading and Recitations from the Great Non Dual Sacred Sikh Scripture, Sukhmani Sahib.

The Sukhmani Sahib is a Sacred Scripture that brings Deep Peace to the Mind.

It will penetrate though many layers of your Psyche and will give a Lasting Impression in Your Consciousness.

There is a Life before and after Sukhmani Sahib.

You will love it.

Next to the Kundalini Practice and Silence you will have enough time to reflect and relax (in silence of course).

It will not be exhausting but rejuvenating.

We will do some nice trips into nature (in silence).

You will find a Deep Peace and Inner Silence you have not encountered before.

You will touch the Depth of Your Inner Being that will Give Your Guidance for the Rest of Your Life.

What makes this retreat Unique

5 days of Noble Silence to bring your Mind to Stillness & Peace

In this hectic modern day of life our minds get easily over stimulated. We need silence to bring the fluctuations of the Mind to a still. Then your True Self will come to the surface. From your True Self you know Who You Are and What You Have To Do in This Life. It will bring Trust and Clarity to Your Life. We have 1 day of preparation before we move into silence and 1 day to slowly readjust to the world. You will love it.

Daily Kundalini Practice

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation is one of the most effective practices to still the mind and open the subtle channels and the chakras. When the energy flows it will be much easier to access Shunya - the still point of the Mind aka No Mind.

In this retreat we do the 2.5 hours Aquarian Sadhana with mantra chanting and 1 more Kundalini Yoga workshop during the day. It will be a good mix of more masculine Kundalini practices for strengthening the Shiva aspect of our Consciousness and more flowing dancing Kundalini Practices to embody the energy and FEEL the Silence. It will be strengthening and rejuvenating at the same time.

The Sukhmani Sahib by Guru Arjun Dev

The Sukhmani Sahib is one of the lesser know Banis of the Shabd Guru - the Sound as our Teacher. Sukhmani Sahib means Jewel of Peace. It is an enormous powerfull scripture written in Gurmukhi. You will listen to my voice reciting the Sukhmani as you are resting deep in Shavasana. It will reprogram your psyche to health, happiness and prosperity. It is for all people for all stages of life. It is profound, touching and transformative.

Magnificent Healing Nature in Norway

There will be fresh air from the mountains and the sea. The air will be clear and crispy. Nature sounds will be around you. The nature that we will explore though silent walks will help to heal you and bring the silence fully into your body.

Sattvic Food to Nourish Your Body and Delight Your Taste

We have a delicious cook who will make the most delicious nourishing and balancing Sattvic meals. Fully based on the ancient old science of Ayurveda adjusted to the modern mouth. Yummie!

A Deep Reset of Your Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit

These 7 days will be unique and profound and present you with the perfect opportunity to heal and rejuvenate yourself on all levels.

Why Silence?

You do not need more input.

You need less noise.

Less talking.

Less reacting.

Less pressure to explain, adjust, or keep up with everything around you.

When you become quiet on the outside, you begin to notice how noisy it still is on the inside.

The mind keeps moving.

The thoughts keep coming.

The nervous system keeps holding.

And that is exactly why silence matters.

Because if you stay in it long enough, something begins to soften.

Your mind becomes less busy.

Your body begins to release.

Your heart opens.

Your presence deepens.

And from that place, you can hear differently.

Not just with your head.

But with your whole being.

That is when silence becomes more than rest.

It becomes a doorway.

A doorway into peace.

Into truth.

Into deeper listening.

Into the living presence behind the words.

Why the Sukhmani Sahib?

During this retreat, I will read to you from the Sukhmani Sahib, the sacred bani of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Sikh Guru.

Many years ago, during a retreat with one of my teachers, he recited the Sukhmani Sahib during deep relaxation, and I felt how deeply it could work.

Something in me became very quiet.

Very soft.

Very still.

It touched a place beyond the ordinary mind.

It shifted something real in me.

Since then, I have stayed deeply connected to this Bani and have continued to work with it myself.

The Sukhmani Sahib is known for bringing peace to the mind and stillness to the heart.

But to truly receive it, you have to become quieter yourself.

More open.

More receptive.

That is why it belongs so naturally in this retreat.

In the silence, in the practice, and in the stillness of nature, the Sukhmani Sahib can work on you in a deeper way.

Not only as words.

But as vibration.

As peace.

As grace.

As a living presence that can bring you closer to the deepest part of yourself.

For Whom is this Retreat?

This retreat is for you if:

This is our Beautifull Location

The Location: Silence, Fresh Air, Sea, and Nature

We will stay in a beautiful, super clean location in Norway.

Close to the sea and Fjords.

Surrounded by nature, space, and fresh air.

Everything about this place helps you let go.

The clarity of the air.

The silence of the surroundings.

The power of the sea.

The beauty of nature.

The possibility to walk, swim, and breathe deeply.

We are close to the fjords, and the natural environment helps you peel away layers, release what you are carrying, and return to something more original within yourself.

Together with the silence, the Kundalini Yoga, and the sattvic food, this creates a deep reset.

Not on the surface.

But for real.

Nature Is Part of the Work

The nature around us is not just a beautiful backdrop.

It is part of the retreat.

The sea helps you release.

The fresh air helps you clear.

The vastness helps you breathe again.

The beauty helps you soften.

And the silence in nature helps you come back to yourself in a very direct way.

When you combine that with deep silence, daily Kundalini Yoga, the Sukhmani Sahib, and sattvic food, something in you can begin to reset on a very deep level.

About Guru Gian

My name is Jasper Kok, known among yogis as Guru Gian.

Since 2007, I have been guiding people through Kundalini Yoga, meditation, coaching, retreats, and trainings.

What I love about this silence retreat is that it brings everything back to something essential.

No excess.

No spiritual spectacle.

No endless exchange.

But practice.

Silence.

Mantra.

Nature.

Presence.

And it is exactly there that something can happen which ordinary life rarely gives space to.

Do You Feel Called?

Some retreats give you inspiration.

Some give you energy.

Some help you step away from daily life for a little while.

But this retreat is here for something deeper.

To let the noise settle.

To become quiet enough to really hear.

To receive the peace of the Sukhmani Sahib not only as words, but as a living presence.

If you feel a yes, you are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience with silence retreats to join?

No, you do not need previous experience with a silence retreat. What matters more is that you feel a real inner yes to entering silence, daily practice, and a more disciplined rhythm for a week.

Do I need experience with Kundalini Yoga?

Some experience is helpful, but you do not need to be advanced. This retreat is for people who feel drawn to Kundalini Yoga, meditation, mantra, and inner depth.

What does noble silence mean?

Noble silence means that during the silence period, we do not speak to each other, and we also do not communicate through gestures or other forms of social exchange. This helps the mind settle more deeply and allows the retreat to become a much more powerful inner experience. All practical communication goes through me and the assistants.

How many days will we be in silence?

We will spend five days in noble silence during the retreat week.

Will there still be guidance during the silence?

Yes. You will be held and guided throughout the retreat. There will be a clear structure, daily practice, and support where needed.

What will we do during the retreat?

Each day includes Kundalini Yoga, meditation, mantra, silence, time in nature, rest, and space for journaling and integration. During the retreat, I will also read from the Sukhmani Sahib.

Why the Sukhmani Sahib?

The Sukhmani Sahib is known for bringing peace to the mind and stillness to the heart. In the atmosphere of silence, practice, and nature, it can be received in a much deeper way.

Can I bring books?

No. This retreat is an invitation to step out of your usual input and go more deeply inward. That is why you are asked not to bring books into the retreat space.

Can I use my phone during the retreat?

For the deepest experience, I recommend keeping phone use to an absolute minimum or turning it off completely during the retreat. The less outside input you take in, the more deeply the silence can work on you.

Is this retreat only for rest, or also for deep inner work?

Both. It can bring deep rest, but it is not only about relaxing. It is also about becoming quiet enough to meet yourself more deeply and allow something real to shift.

What kind of food will be served?

You will be served sattvic vegetarian food that supports clarity, lightness, and the inner process of the retreat.

Is the retreat center close to nature?

Yes. The retreat takes place in a beautiful, super clean location in Norway, close to the sea and surrounded by fresh air, space, and nature.

Can I swim during the retreat?

Yes. Depending on the flow of the retreat and the weather, there may be space to swim and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Which airport should I fly to?

You should fly to Kristiansand Airport. From there, transport to the retreat location is included.

Is airport transfer included?

Yes. Airport transfer to and from the retreat location is included.

How will I receive the practical travel details?

After registration, you will receive the practical information you need about travel, arrival, what to bring, and the rhythm of the retreat.

How many people can join?

The number of places is limited so the retreat can remain intimate, quiet, and deeply held.

Can I come alone?

Yes. You can absolutely come alone. There is a single room option, and there is also a double room with one large bed for partners or two close friends.

Is the double room for any two people?

The double room has one large bed, so it is intended for partners or two close friends who feel comfortable sharing that space.

What if I feel emotional or restless in the silence?

That can be part of the process. Silence often brings up what is already moving inside you. That is not a problem. It is part of why the retreat can be so powerful. You will be held within a clear structure of practice, rhythm, and guidance.

What should I bring?

You will receive a practical packing list after registration. In general, bring comfortable clothes, layers for the Norwegian climate, and what you need for a simple and focused retreat week.

Is this retreat for me if I feel tired, overloaded, or full?

Yes. Especially then. This retreat is for people who feel that their system is full and that they need more than a little rest. It is for people who long for silence, simplicity, nature, and a real reset.

How do I know if this retreat is right for me?

If something in you becomes quiet when you read this, that is often a good sign. If you feel drawn to silence, daily practice, the Sukhmani Sahib, and a week of real depth, then this retreat may be exactly what you need.
